Blue Room
The facilities for babies and the younger children up to the age of 2 are on the ground floor. Our youngest children are in Blue which is large enough for six babies with two members of staff. Our key worker system is designed to form a close bond between each child and their allocated member of staff which provides re-assurance, security and stability .
We encourage babies development from rolling over to taking their first steps. We are also here to help your child develop the early stages of independence with feeding and drinking by themselves. They will explore with messy play such as paint, glue, wet and dry sand, gloop, water and various foods. This type of play will help your child to use hand and eye co-ordination, which in time overall helps with feeding skills.
To support early language skills we provide opportunities for your child to listen to and enjoy lots of music, songs and stories.
All children will have an Individual learning journey and we encourage parents to share information with us about your child's interests and activities/events that you as a family enjoy and take part in. We recognise the importance of working in partnership and we provide a book for each child which will contain all the important information as to what your child has eaten throughout the day, for how long they have slept, nappy changes and how they have enjoyed their day or session at nursery.
